Return & Cancellation Policy

1. Service Cancellations
At The Backyard Depot, we schedule our crews and equipment in advance to ensure timely project completion. Cancellation terms are as follows:
- General Projects: Cancellations made more than 70 days prior to the project start date will receive a full refund of the deposit, minus a 5% administrative fee.
- Late Cancellations: Cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled start date may result in a forfeiture of the deposit to cover mobilization and scheduling costs.
2. Custom & Special Order Materials
Many of our renovation and hardscaping projects involve custom-ordered materials (e.g., specific pavers, custom cabinetry, non-wooden fence, or specialty lumber). Custom and special order items are non-refundable and cannot be returned once the order has been processed by our suppliers.
Special order items include, but are not limited to:
- PVC Fences
- Ornamental Fences
- Sound Barrier Fences
- Hot Tubs
3. Product Returns
For non-custom materials purchased through The Backyard Depot that are not used in your project:
- Items must be in original, unopened packaging.
- Returns must be requested within 14 days of delivery.
- A 20% restocking fee may apply to certain bulk items (e.g., stones, soil, or mulch).
- Custom and special order items (see Section 2) are excluded from this return policy.
4. Satisfaction Guarantee
While labor and installation services are not "returnable," your satisfaction is our priority. If you are not satisfied with the quality of our workmanship, please notify us within 48 hours of project completion. We will work diligently to rectify any issues that do not meet the agreed-upon project specifications.
